STC San Diego Chapter

Contractors

For a number of reasons, many firms like to employ independent contractors for at least some of their staffing needs. A firm may need special skills or expertise that a contractor may have. It may lack the space or equipment for as much staff as it requires. Managers may find they like people with the entrepreneurial spirit that contractors possess, and the contractor's ability to bring a fresh point-of-view to the task at hand.

The principals in the contractor firms listed on this page are members of the San Diego Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication.

Clear and effective communication is critical to the success of any business. Documents intended for internal use, such as quality and procedural manuals, streamline operations and facilitate high quality control. Externally distributed documents frequently are the primary opportunity to establish a compelling corporate image. Tools such as business plans, web pages, promotional materials, scientific / technical publications, technical support documents and grant proposals are indispensable for drawing in external funding and new customers.

Nevertheless, despite the importance, it is often challenging to find the time and resources necessary to create quality documents. The professional contract services of Concept Capture are an efficient, practical and cost-effective solution. Concept Capture offers services ranging from formatting and editing to independent generation of major documents.
