Job boards
Many job seekers find success by posting their resumes on online job boards such as Monster, Dice, or Careerbuilder. In most cases, resumes can be posted anonymously to protect name, address, and other contact information, as well as current employment information. Once a resume is posted, companies who pay a fee to the job boards are permitted to perform a number of different types of searches to identify potential employees who meet their criteria.
All job seekers are permitted to perform free searches for open positions on these boards. Registered users of some of these sites are permitted to sign up for and configure custom search agents to deliver information by email about open positions meeting their criteria.
Posting a complete resume can be a lengthy process, but most sites employ wizard-type functionality to guide users through each of the required steps.
The following table is not exhaustive, but lists many of the top online job sites. You can also look for job search engines on Google.
