From microchips and software to biotech and industrial equipment, San Diego’s technology industry is as vast as it is diverse. But there’s one thing that all tech-oriented businesses have in common: they need writers and editors to make sense of the tech-speak for a variety of end users.
Sara Feldman has 10 years of experience as a technical writer, primarily in the software industry and focused on online support. She earned her BS in Technical Communication and Communication Studies from James Madison University. Sara is currently the VP of Programs for the San Diego Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication.
For the past 20 years, Mark Fogg has worked exclusively at Solar Turbines, where he has served as senior technical editor and ghostwritten everybody from struggling technical writers to executives. Before that, he worked at smaller commercial companies and in the defense industry, where he had to write to very rigid military specifications.
Currently an independent contractor, Elizabeth Gray worked as a senior technical writer/editor for Cubic Corporation for more than 15 years, broken up by a five-year stint at Qualcomm.
