Treasurer & Employment
I am semi-retired. Most recently, I was an information architect at Teradata. I’ve also worked as a technical communications manager, writer, program manager, and software designer. I served STC two years as chapter president, four years as VP of Finance (aka Treasurer), and most recently as VP for Professional Development. My goals as Employment VP are to publicize locations of job-listing, connect job-hunters and placement firms and contracting shops, and provide information for successful job searches, resumes, and interviews.

DJ Towne has been involved with the STC San Diego council for about 6 years. She has a B.S. degree in Management Information Systems from SDSU. She has been a technical writer for about 9 years, but also has a broad background in IT, having worked in quality assurance, customer implementations, and knowledge-based technical support.
