Farewell |
|
| The new editors are planning for the next publishing year and they need your help. Please see the article below. |
A long and sad goodbye isn't necessary, so I will make this short and happy. This is my last issue as managing editor of Signature. It has been a rewarding experience, and I am happy that the newsletter continued in the tradition of winning an award in the STC newsletter competition. This year we won an Award of Excellence. You can see details and all winners at http://www.stc.org/2003_news_competition.asp. I want to thank all those who contributed to the newsletter this year, and I hope that the next publishing year will see even more member involvement (see call for writers below). I also want to welcome our new editors, Catherine Robinson and Jennifer Mallory. I am pleased to turn the newsletter over to an enthusiastic team who is sure to bring fresh ideas and perspectives. With that, I bid you readers farewell!

Calling
All Writers! If writing is your specialty, then the STC Signature newsletter needs your talents for the 2003-2004 publishing season. If you can volunteer in any capacity, your efforts will help the STC organization continue to put forth an excellent publication that helps its members stay connected and grow in the profession. If you can volunteer your time and efforts to the newsletter, we need to hear from you. We need feature article writers, member profiles writers, columnists, book reviewers, and newsletter proofreaders. If you would like to contribute any new ideas or skills, we are open to your suggestions. Please contact the STC Signature newsletter at stcsignature@yahoo.com to help us line up our new season, which is being planned now and begins to publish in September 2003. |
