A variety of tech comm professionals share how they started their TechComm careers, tips for entering the field, interviewing and more.

Our speakers are:

Walter Hanig, VP of Employment at STC San Diego. Walter has worked as an information architect, a technical communications manager, a program manager and a software designer. He currently volunteers for the chapter.

Mimi Ngo, Technical Writer and former makeup artist with retail management experience. Mimi has over 2 years in the software industry. She is also the Chapter President of the Orange County Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication.

Rachel Sienko, Senior leader and technical communicator with experience in API & Developer Docs, Content strategy. and user-centered documentation.

Neal Kaplan, Senior Technical Documentation Manager at Splunk. Neil’s specialties include Technical documentation, Information architecture ad cross-functional leadership.
