More job boards

Many job seekers find success by posting their resumes on online job boards such as Monster, Dice, or Careerbuilder, as job boards are where recruiters and employers may find you. Be aware that the same job may be posted on multiple job boards, and that job boards may contain out-of-date listings. For safety, create and use a separate e-mail address for public visibility on job boards.

In most cases, resumes can be posted anonymously to protect name, address, and other contact information as well as current employment information. Once a resume is posted, companies who pay a fee to the job boards are permitted to perform different types of searches to identify potential employees.

On these boards, job seekers may be permitted to perform free searches for open positions. Registered users of some sites may be able to sign up for and configure search agents to deliver custom information about relevant open positions via e-mail.

Posting a complete resume can be a lengthy process, but most sites employ wizard-type functionality to guide users through each of the required steps.

The following table lists many of the top on-line job sites but is not exhaustive. You may also look for job search engines on Google.
